The ash tree is the key to the low weight of the chair. The strength characteristics of the ash tree enable this minimal construction. The design of the assembly details has been tested several times to extend and optimize the chair’s strength / life. The glued construction consists of smaller piece of ash, giving a greater utilization percent of the raw wood. The excess wood and sawdust are recycled for plate production.
The entire ash frame can be granulated for recycling to, for example, particle board…. The braided Polyester line seat can be easily separated from the frame and reused.
The ash tree is surface treated with 80% soap shavings dissolved in water, which allows the consumer to extend the life of the chair – appears as a new piece of furniture after soap treatment.
