Having dotted one’s i’s for many years, the dot has recently appeared on the line labelled “dot”.
Now it has attached itself to a chair! My chair! Not as a decoration!
It is the “dot” that makes the chair possible!
You take the five layers of veneer of which the chair consist- each layer with a dot in it.
With the dot as centre a triangle is cut like a piece of cake.
One by one the layers are strapped and put on top of each other In a way so the joints
are staggered -like a brick bond.
The result: a new kind of a double curved shell, marked by lightness, sitting comforts
and opportunities for flexible usage.
