The chair is developed to use in public accessible rooms in which people are waiting. The chair construction is based on the so-called “active form principle”. At the heart of the chair is a steal spring whose forces are held in balance by the fabric. The fabric itself is based on a Hoechst fire‑retarding fibre material, and the fabric pattern plays on the contrast between the brightness of the fibre and matt-coloured synthetic rubber cording.
